What are some Tricks to fly fishing for trout?
I’m going camping in a couple weeks real close to a place full of trout. My friends and i want to go fly fishing and were wondering what kind of tackle we would need we have the poles from a friend i was just hoping for some help on a few pointers.
Assuming you know how to cast a fly rod. Are you looking for flies? The three best flies would be pheasant tail nymph, hare’s ear and prince nymph. Leaders and tippet in sizes 5x to7x. Is it in a lake or stream? These are just a few ideas. Hope you can catch a few.
ultra lite spinning gear with blue fox spinners would work better if you don`t know what to do with a fly rod. you`ll have a chance to catch some. and that makes it more fun
First take along a spinning rod, cuz fly fishing can be very frustrating if your new to it. Practice casting in your backyard. If you plan to fish smallish rivers and streams then high stick nymphing will be your best bet, requires no casting, just look it up on the net, to much to get into hear.
Well PRACTICE maybe even go to a Orvis flyfishing class
